Flatwork Finishing Brands

We carry three flatwork ironer brands, including GMP, Girbau and Chicago. Every range we supply has been tested and proven in Australian laundries.

GMP flatwork ironers are Italian-built chest heated machines for small OPL requirements, a cost effective way of processing small volumes of linen.

Girbau flatwork ironers are available in cylinder and chest heated variations for OPL's and Centralised Laundries, designed for labour efficiency and reliability.

Chicago flatwork ironers are the benchmark for high volume feeding, folding and stacking in central laundries.

Why Aqualogic

What you actually get with our ironers

Six things that change how your finishing room runs every day, from a consistent professional finish to lower labour and nationwide service.

Kinematic strap tensioning

The difference between a professional finish and a passable one.

Care Touch Roll

Machined steel, mirror polish, chrome plating.

Autospeed and Optifeed

Ironing as a managed process, not an activity.

Feeding and folding

One to four lanes, measured and folded automatically.

Compact PRO five-in-one

Feed, dry, iron, fold and stack in 20 square metres.

Support that stands behind it

The reason operators stay with Aqualogic.

Choosing your heat source

Gas vs electric vs steam ironers

The heat source decides your running cost for the next decade. Gas is cheapest per kilogram where it is connected, electric is the simplest install, and steam slots straight into buildings that already run a steam plant.

Gas · Lowest cost per kg

Cheapest per kilogram where gas is connected, with fast heat up and high evaporation.

simplest installpowerno gas required

Electric · Simplest install

The simplest install where there is no gas, and standard on smaller rolls.

Steam · Uses existing plant

Slots into buildings that already run steam, common in hospitals and large laundries.

Not sure which your site suits? We check your gas connection, power supply and steam plant on a free site visit and recommend the heat source with the lowest cost per piece over the life of the machine, not just the lowest sticker price.

On Premise Laundry

Ironers built for your industry

Every on premise laundry has different linen, volumes and space. These are the sectors we size and install finishing equipment for every week, and the features that matter most in each.

Aged care

Bed and table linen finished in one pass by a single operator.

Hotels and motels

King sheets in one lane, with folding that cuts housekeeping bench work.

Hospitals and healthcare

Volume, hygiene and recorded temperatures for compliance driven sites.

Food and beverage

Four lane feeding clears napkins and table linen without extra staff.

Commercial laundries

Feeders, folders and stackers turn finishing into a production line.

Accommodation and education

Hotel grade presentation from a Compact PRO that fits a small room.

Sizing

How to size a flatwork ironer

Start with your widest piece of linen, since roll width decides what finishes in one lane. Then match evaporation capacity to your daily kilograms of flatwork, allowing for your peak day, not your average one. Use these rules of thumb as a starting point, then we validate against your actual linen mix and washer extraction.

Extraction is the hidden lever. A washer spinning at 450G leaves linen dry enough to feed straight into the ironer, skipping the dryer entirely. Compare commercial washing machines before you settle the pairing.

Features that pay for themselves

Finishing is the most labour-heavy step in any laundry, so the sticker price is only part of what an ironer costs. Labour, energy and linen replacement dwarf it over the life of the machine, which is why we spec features that cut the cost of every single piece, not just the cost of day one.

Even tension, even finish

Balanced strap tension gives every sheet the same crisp finish, with no rewash pile.

Safety engineered in

Double sensor hand guarding, checked at every start up, right in the feeding zone.

Ergonomics across a full shift

A wide feeding belt and natural posture keep pieces per hour up all shift.

Built to be serviced, backed to last

Simple daily care, plus Australia's largest spare parts holding behind the machine.

A better answer for your laundry

From a 1,500mm roll for a small aged care laundry to a Compact PRO that replaces an entire finishing line in 20 square metres, we have a proven solution for your linen, your volume and your budget. Tell us about your flatwork and we will spec the right ironer, quote it properly and stand behind it for the life of the equipment.

Buying guide

Looking for an ironer for sale? Here is how to buy the right one

Every ironer on this page is available to buy new, with delivery, installation, training and service included in the quote. Before you compare prices, get these five decisions right and the ironer will pay for itself instead of sitting idle.

01

Measure your widest piece

Roll length must clear your largest sheet or tablecloth. King sheets need 2,500mm or more; single sheets, pillowcases and napkins run on 1,500 to 2,100mm.

02

Count pieces per hour

Roll diameter and heated surface set throughput. A 330mm roll suits up to around 60 sheets an hour; 510mm and larger rolls are for higher volumes.

03

Match the heat source to the site

Gas is cheapest to run where it is available, electric is simplest to install, steam suits laundries with a boiler already running.

04

Decide on feeding and folding

A folder removes a person from the line. A feeder removes another. Both can be added at purchase or retrofitted to most PB Series machines.

05

Check the room

Ironers are long. Confirm the path in, the working space at feed and delivery ends, and the exhaust route before you order.

06

Price the whole life, not the sticker

Two ironers with the same purchase price can differ by thousands a year in energy and labour. We quote running cost alongside the sale price.

New, ex-demo and clearance

Most sites buy new. Ex-demo and superseded ironers appear on our clearance page when available.

Finance and rental

Spread the cost over the machine's working life with finance or rental so the labour saving covers the repayment.

Delivered and installed Australia wide

Our own technicians deliver, position, connect and commission, then train your operators before they leave.
