Laundromat

A laundromat is a property investment that happens to wash clothes. The machines you install decide your revenue per square metre, your utility bill, your maintenance cost and how often a customer comes back, for the next ten years.

Aqualogic has supplied and serviced self-service laundry equipment in Australia since 1968, from single-store owner-operators to multi-site networks. We help you plan the store, specify the mix, integrate cashless payment and keep every machine turning.

Whether you're buying an existing site, refreshing tired equipment or building from an empty shell, we work to the numbers first and the equipment list second.

Return on floor space

The right machine mix earns more from every square metre.

Unattended reliability

Commercial machines keep trading reliably while the store is unattended.

Cashless takings

Tap, card and app payments lift convenience and simplify reporting.

Lower utility costs

High extraction and smart drying reduce water, energy and cycle times.

The store experience

Clear layouts and simple controls make customers want to return.

Cashless payment, built in

Payment is the part of a laundromat customers judge first and owners under-plan most. Get it right and you lift average spend, cut cash handling to zero and run the store from your phone.

We supply, install and support the major cashless platforms used in Australian stores, and integrate them with the machines rather than bolting them on.

Key Features Include

  • Tap, card and app paymentAccept contactless cards, digital wallets and app-based starts, with coin retained as an option where your customer base still needs it.
  • Remote pricing controlChange cycle pricing by machine, day or time of day from your phone, off-peak discounts to smooth demand, premium pricing at the weekend rush.
  • Live takings and reportingSee revenue, cycles and machine utilisation per store in real time, with exportable reporting for your accountant and multi-site comparison.
  • Loyalty, top-ups and refundsRun stored-value accounts and promotions, and issue refunds remotely so a failed cycle doesn't cost you a customer or a site visit.

Every platform we install reports centrally, so a two-store owner and a twenty-store network manage pricing, refunds and revenue from the same screen.

Common questions

Before you sign the lease

How much does it cost to set up a laundromat?
It depends on store size, machine mix and the condition of the site's services. A compact store fitted with light-commercial equipment is a very different number to a high-capacity store with 25kg washers and gas dryers. We build a costed equipment plan against your site so you're working with real figures, not averages.
How many machines should I install?
Enough to absorb your peak without leaving machines idle the rest of the week. We size the mix from expected loads per day and target turns per machine, then bias capacity toward the sizes that earn most in your catchment.
Should I go fully cashless?
Most new stores do, and existing stores usually transition. Cashless lifts average spend, removes cash handling and gives you remote pricing and reporting. Where a catchment still relies on coin, we run both until the mix shifts.
Can you service my store after installation?
Yes. We have factory-trained technicians across Australia and the country's largest spare-parts holding, so a fault is a call-out and a part, not a machine out of service for weeks.
