The Switch will open a 34-level tower in Adelaide in May providing 347 beds to a young generation of renters. It’s their second purpose-built student accommodation property to open in 6 months, with another two opening in Sydney and Melbourne later in the year. Their first tower, in Perth’s CBD, houses 483 beds, and has already proved successful, exceeding their pre-opening lease target.
The accommodation is made up of shared living and studio apartments, with additional communal spaces, such as a kitchen, laundry, working spaces, terrace garden, lounge and gym. Aqualogic are proud to have partnered with the Switch to install and supply commercial laundry equipment for each of their four buildings. The fun interior design for the laundries makes for a lively environment to do your washing, and the IPSO stacked washer-dryers will provide quality wash results to residents for years to come.
The launch of The Switch buildings coincides with the return of international students to Australia, which has already begun. Australia has the world’s third biggest international student market after the US and Britain. With a favourable market, we’ll be seeing more and more of this style of living around Australia in the near future.
