Aqualogic worked with Cavalry Aged Care facility in Cessnock, NSW, to upgrade their central laundry. The purpose of the upgrade was to save money and gain control. They wanted to extend the capacity of the laundry so that they could wash their linen, as well as neighbouring facilities’ linen, in-house instead of outsourcing.
It was a unique project, spanning approximately 12 months. The building was considerably old, with limited space and utlities. Aqualogic worked with builders and engineers to oversee the removal of a wall to extend the size of the laundry space. We also added more water supply and increased the drainage. 100 amps was the maximum power source that we had to work with. In addition to this, the project had a tight budget. Our team was able to craft a solution of suitable machines that fit within all of these constraints, delivering an efficient laundry to our client.
Once the machines were installed and programmed, we returned to site and trained their staff. We used both face-to-face and our exclusive eLearning training, familiarising the staff with the machines, as well as educating them on laundry best practices for a smooth running laundry.
